Boutique Digital Marketing for STR Owners & Co-Hosts

You built your rental business. Now let’s build the marketing foundation underneath it.

I work with STR owners, co-hosts, and small hospitality brands who are tired of doing everything themselves and want a real partner in their corner — someone who does the work with you, not just hands you a strategy doc and disappears.

The direct booking gap

You built the site. The OTAs still get all the traffic.

You followed the advice. You set up a direct booking site. You put up photos and a description. But Airbnb and VRBO still send nearly every booking your way — which means you are paying their fees on every reservation, and they own the guest relationship.

Getting guests to find and book you directly is a marketing job. And it requires the right foundation underneath it before the other pieces can work.

The bandwidth problem

You know what you should be doing. You just do not have time to do it well.

Email marketing. Paid ads. Content strategy. Analytics. You have read the articles. You know this stuff matters. But you are already managing properties, guests, and cleaners. You cannot add a full marketing role to that list.

That is not a discipline problem. That is a resourcing problem. And the solution is not another AI tool that promises to do it for you.

Why Vineyard Sands

20 years of digital. Zero patience for empty promises.

I spent 20 years inside major media brands learning how digital marketing actually works, from AOL Food and Southern Living to the founding team of MyRecipes.com, where I eventually became the first SEO Editor in the company's history.

I have watched the hype cycles come and go. The agencies that promise the moon and explain nothing. The tools that claim to do everything. I know what works and what just sounds good in a pitch deck. And I know that the travel and hospitality space is full of both.

I work with a small number of STR owners and co-hosts at a time, on purpose. Because doing excellent work for a few people matters more to me than doing average work for many.

About Emily

Birmingham native. 20 years in digital. Your corner, not a vendor.

I am a Davidson College grad who spent 20 years inside major digital media brands before deciding to focus on the niche I love: travel, hospitality, and the people building beautiful businesses in that space.

I work with a small number of STR owners and co-hosts at a time, on purpose. Not a contractor who delivers work and moves on. A partner who tells you what is true, not what sounds good in a pitch.

Common Questions

Quick answers.

Do you only work with STR owners?

Primarily, yes. My focus is short-term rental owners, co-hosts, and small travel and hospitality brands. That focus is intentional. I can do better work for you when I specialize.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. I am based in Birmingham, AL but work with clients across the country. Everything happens over email, video calls, and shared documents. Location is never a barrier.

How do I get started?

Book a free strategy call. We will talk through where you are, what is working, and what is not. If it makes sense to work together, we will figure out the right starting point. No hard sell, no long pitch deck.
